For the twins' first few months we have decided to use the bassinet sleepers on the pack-n-play so they can sleep in our room instead of their cribs in their nursery. However, the actual twin version of the PnP (2 bassinets in one PnP) gets poor reviews due to babies rolling inward, plus the most conservative sleeping arrangements for twins is to keep them separate (even when they're newborn and can't roll, due to increased heat/carbon monoxide). So, we've decided on getting 2 separate PnPs, but the travel version (since we only want them for sleeping, not playpen, and the full PnPs are much more expensive).
This is what we just registered for two of: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=15262796&fromRegistryNumber=49605644&product_skn=886781
The question to this long-winded intro is about sheeting. There's a link in the BRU Q&A to what sheets to purchase for it (on Amazon, ironically!) but as a FTM who's had very little exposure to LOs, I can't tell if PnP sheets are to go on the playpen part or the bassinet part **hangs head in shame**. If they're for the playpen part, is there anything you use to cover the bassinet pad, or do they just sleep on it as is? I don't think I'd get the sheets if they're for the playpen part b/c we won't actually use it for that (I'd want a playpen big enough for both when the time comes). TIA for helping out a clueless FTM!
Re: Potentially silly PnP question
FTM too, but my understanding is the play yard sheet covers the playpen part. I plan to do the same with my twins, but put them in the same PNP while very small. I think from what I gathered from other's posts is it is safe to put them down in the PNP. The bassinet part looks sketchy to me for some reason, haha.
ETA: I was thinking you were referring to the newborn napper like the one shown here

I got my terminology mixed up. I am not sure if the sheet fits that raised bassinet. Seems to me it would since that part just lowers down to become thr bottom of the PNP, doesn't it?
There is a sling thing that comes out when you are done using the bassinet part and the pad is moved to the bottom. I can take a pic of line to show you on a bit If you are trying to save money try nobetterdeal.com I got my pnp for 43 with tax. Originally like 150
This is the whole thing
This is the mesh sling that holds up the pad, it comes out and the pad is just placed in the bottom.
I can not get the pad to come through though.

Great advice, TY! Although I thought firmness was a good thing? My FTMness is showing, ack!
The weight limit for the double pack and play is 15 lbs total, meaning we'd have to move them to the nursery sooner. Otherwise the bassinets start caving in towards each other. We like the idea of the single pack and plays each having a weight limit of 15 lbs but getting two full versions seems excessive. I'm surprised there's not more options for twins, but have to remind myself we're only three percent of the market. The ladies on the multiples board swear by the RnPs but I'd prefer a flat surface.
With ds2 we used the pnp for the first few months and plan on using the same for ds3. For twins I not sure because of the weight
