Party favors help.

Ok, so I'm not trying to spend a fortune on favors. I'd like to keep it under $40 for 12 kids. 0-2yrs (5 kids), 2-4 (3 kids), 4-6 (4 kids).

Our theme is sock monkey, so I thought it would be cute to give away sock monkeys. The only ones I have been able to find have been $6 and up (ty beanie babies)

I even thought about making my own, but the materials would cost more than that, plus I'd have to invest time.

Then I found these: Flying Sock Monkeys

A lot of 12 for $60 with free shipping. So that's $5 each kid. That is still SOOO expensive!

These are slingshots built into a sock monkey plush toy. Do you all think this would be a good gift for all of these ages???

I guess I'd be able to splurge and get these since they sound cool for the older kids. If I were to buy these individually they'd be about $8 each. I'm assuming they are a regular stuffed animal when not used as a slingshot, making it versatile for all age groups.

You could fill with a few treats and maybe a few items from the dollar store or the Target dollar bins - I found some mini tambourines, maraccas and egg shakers there.

avangel - I like your first suggestion. The thing is that for 12 kids it will cost $47 including shipping and that's not including the stuff that goes inside. Unless I were to make the bags myself.... which could work. I'll have to think about that one.

The oriental trading ideas are ok, but the first set is a mix bag, they aren't just sock monkeys, otherwise that would be ideal!

The second option is a no-go since most of the kids are under 4 and also the fact that all it is is a blank doll, it doesn't include anything... so that would add up too.

I think I may bite the bullet and spend the $60 and get the slingshot monkeys. I can add a tag to its neck with a ribbon and call it a day!

I have sock monkey as the theme too and I'm going to do sock monkey cake pops for the favors. I think 12 on etsy cost like $30 if I recall correctly.

I'm making the cake pops too, but not as favors. They're just gonna go on the desert table. They're so cute! I think they'll be a hit.

I decided to go ahead and get the flying sock monkeys afterall. $5 per kid is a lot, but I think we can swing it (pun intended The seller is on vacation for 2 weeks! Thankfully I have enough time.
