4 year old still peeing the bed

My son has been potty trained for about a year. but he has never gotten down the whole night time thing. I don't give him anything to drink several hours before bed, make him go to the potty when he starts getting sleepy, make sure he's warm when he's in bed and he will still pee! I have never trusted to just let him sleep in underwear because the majority of the time his bed time diaper is wet when he wakes up. I'm not sure what to do now, help please!

Sorry no advice but I would like to know the answer to this as well because my 5 year SD does this. Even worse is that she will only pee on the toilet, still poops in panties!

There's nothing you can do. It's normal for night time dryness to follow day time potty training by years. Even age 6 to 7 is not abnormal. Just keep using a diaper at night. If he's getting too big for a regular diaper, Pampers and Huggies both have versions of overnight trainers for older kids. We used size 4 to 8 Goodnites.

It took me a while to get DS1 to poop in the potty, I'll tell you what I done. My grandma showed up with some stickers, before DS could grab them I got them and said OMGosh, do you know what these are?? They're poop stickers! I said you only get one when you poop! I  absolutely did not let him have one without him pooping. It worked very well. Other than maybe 2 accidents he hasn't pooped on himself since! Good luck!

This, my niece peed the bed until preteens. My sister tried everything, she just had to grow out of it. Some kids just take longer.

Our take on it for our 4yo (he was 4 in April), who PT'd at 2 3/4, was we are totally ok with pull ups at night at least through age 5 if not a little bit longer.  Out of maybe 10 days, he'll have one wet night, and we don't believe he's being willful in doing so.  He's awesome during the day, gets himself to the potty *almost* every time, and has had one accident in about 4 months during a nap. I think it's just a maturity issue. He even had phases where it happened more often, and we didn't scold or anything, just talked about staying dry.

I actually would still wet the bed at night till I was 9 or so and my mom took me to the chiropractor and told them the problem. After I got adjusted it never happened again!
