So I've figured out that DD is allergic to peaches and apples. The peaches she gets hives and the apples she gets congested, itchy eyes, and gas. She also threw up once. I have food allergies, so I'm not too surprised that she does, though DS doesn't...
How long dies the congestion take to go away? I rarely get that symptom from food, mines generally intestinal, itchiness, and dizziness, so I'm not too familiar with it. I know with beef my symptoms hang around a day or two, but would that be the same for her?
Also when would you recommend seeing the allergist? She's six months so probably too early yet.
I am not sure about the congestion, but I would go ahead and call a pediatric allergist now. My first daughter went to the allergist at 3 months old and I took my other one in at 9 weeks just to talk to him about things to expect. My first daughter was very severely allergic to many foods as a baby, so I was being very cautious with #2 and wanted to get her in as a patient ASAP.
