Is this creepy?

DD lost her first tooth today. I got it from the tooth fairy and put it in the zip lock bag where I have the clippings from her first hair cut. I swear, I'm not going to keep all her teeth, just this first one. DH says it's creepy that I am keeping this stuff. I am betting there are other moms who do this stuff too.

Um...my mom still has all of our (me and my brother) teeth. They are in a cabinet and she never looks at them, but they are all there.

Not creepy at all. We plan to keep our LO's teeth. I mean I have his umbilical cord, plan to have his hair if it is ever cut in the future.

As long as you don't have a necklace with your LO's teeth...I say not creepy lol :-)

Nope, not creepy at all. I have had two containers given to DD for the exact purpose of holding teeth.

Side note: I remember snooping through my moms jewellery box when I was 10 or so and finding my teeth. I think I was over the tooth fairy business by then, but she should have hid them better.

I was given some pretty little decorative ceramic mini jewelry box looking things when I was pregnant for DS first tooth and another one for his first haircut.

I don't think so. My aunt gifted to me a pair of booties that are silver and you are supposed to put the first lost tooth and the first cut hair in it. It's like from Hallmark or something and if Hallmark sanctions it, it's totally a common, normal thing!

Thanks! If Hallmark does it then it's normal and I win this argument, hands down. Although I bet that DH will say that we are all creepy...

Things I've kept include DD1's lost teeth, her first clipped-off lock of hair, and all of the kids' umbilical cords (and every mom in my family keeps these things, too).
