Re: Hypopituitarism
My issue is a little different than yours (not nearly as severe) but I just wanted to reach out with some support!
I have reduced pituitary function but it only affects my adrenal gland. I don't produce enough ACTH to sustain my adrenal gland without medication due to an inefficiency in my pituitary gland. I am monitored monthly by my endocrinologist to check my cortisol levels to ensure all my other functions are good.
I have heard (from my endo) of a couple of women's labor ending in a c-section due to issues with progression. I am not sure to what extent of pituitary function they had if any. They, with help, were able to dilate to about 4 to 5 cm but it was taking a long time putting stress on LO. We had several discussions with our Endo about this prior to proceeding with fertility treatments to get pregnant.
My recommendation would be to make sure your endo, OB and any other specialist such as MFM or high risk OB is all on the same page as to what they are comfortable doing. Also make sure you voice your concerns. I think it is a decision you and your doctors together have to make to see if you even want to try to induce for a vaginal delivery or if a c-section would just be safer for all, especially with twins.
We will most likely be doing a c-section as A) the boys are not in the correct position for vaginal,
we cannot do breech extraction and C) my body doesn't handle stress well at all due to my adrenal issue so it would be one more thing to monitor during labor and could put me at bigger risks. Even though a surgical procedure would be stressful on my body they only have to worry about monitoring me afterwards and not all three of us during.
Best of luck!

Hi Ides,
I have panhypopituitarism, too. My husband and I are going to see an RE for the first time in a couple of weeks. I'm a little nervous about it. I'm excited to see that you were able to conceive. How did your labor and delivery go? I hope you all were safe and everybody's doing well. I'd really appreciate hearing how it went, if you have time.
I am also panhypopit and pregnant. I am curious how at the end you managed to deliver your baby?
Now I am just thinking about the way of delivery.
Thank you very much.
