experienced mothers! yeast infections?

in 2nd Trimester
okay so iam 17 weeks and I had a little brown spotting so I went to the hospital and they told me I had a lot of yeast and said it was from the yeast making me spot and sent me home with a prescription well the prescription they wrote no one makes the stuff anymore so I see my doctor tomorrow but I had a little more brown spotting tonight too? has anyone else experienced this with yeast???

    What?  They gave you a prescription for a medicine no one makes?  That doesn't make any sense.  Hope it clears up soon.

    i had some spotting early on and they told me i had a bladder infection and sometimes that happens...they put me on meds but idk why they would give you a perscription for meds that they dont make anymore

    it was an er doctor and she said she didn't know if they made it anymore or not it was the little ball of cream you insert instead of the suppositorys

    I am just getting over an infection. My doctor told me to use the cream inserts, no prescription needed. She told me to use the 7 day and to expect some blood/spotting prior to using it and while using it. She said the infection makes you raw in there and it is just coming out. Good luck!

    I had brown spotting with a yeast infection (was also on progesterone suppositories, so that couldn't have helped).  I think it's pretty normal.  If it gets heavier or changes to pink/red, call your OB.
