They didn't have these when DD was born. Are they really all that amazing? they sound like it. I am having a boy end of Nov. I live in San Francisco so although no snow here it will be cool. Should I get some?
yes, you need them. perfect for swaddling and for light weight blankets...also great for keeping the sun out of LO's eyes (drape it across the carrier or stroller.

Ughh I couldn't believe that my child really needed these expensive blankies. I just opened them because a good friend got them for us and asked how we liked them.
Turns out, We use them everyday. For everything.
To lay on. To snuggle with. Burp rag. Car seat shade. To fill extra room in high chairs and jumpers. And DD has now adopted them as her lovies and likes to have near her face when sleeping. I'm sure there's more. AND the more you wash them the softer they get and they aren't so huge that they take up half the washer like some blankets.
They make a line for Target that is less expensive than the department store line.
DO it. And I suggest getting the bamboo ones. I swear they are worth the extra $$$. my DD was 11lbs and they were the only thing that was large enough to swaddle her. at almost age 2, we still use them. They are her "blanket" she has about 9+ and are a raggie mess! But she refuses to part with them!

I would not get the ones from Target. They aren't quite as big. The Boutique ones have several more inches and are worth the extra money. You can sometimes even find them on babysteals.
