Clogged Duct...Ouchy

Wow I woke up with pain earlier this week and realized it was probably a clogged duct so massage, massage, massage, and pump, pump, pump I did with warm compresses and lots of hot showers.  Well again this AM I woke up with another clogged duct WTH and to my luck I have a wedding this evening so pumping is going to be an issue to clear it.  Any advice on a quick cure

TEAM BLUE! Alex was born 4/15/13 5:09pm 6lb 10oz 20in!

    Just doing what you're doing. I have heard that rotating baby if they let you so that either the top or bottom of their mouth is over the clogged duct may help as that's where they exert the most pressure. I always feel super bruised after I get one drained. No fun.

    This may be too late for you, but I've actually hunched over a bowl of very warm water for several minutes before nursing...you can actually see milk start coming out, it helped more than anything else for me.  Good luck!!!!
