Re: ***SATURDAY TICKER CHANGE***

  • 1. How many weeks are you and what size is the baby? I'm 23 weeks and baby is still the size of a papaya!

    2. How are you feeling?  Any new complaints? Belly is getting bigger by the second I feel like.  With DS, I really popped at 23 weeks so I know from here on out, I will continue to become large and in charge.  Sciatica is a pain in my arse, literally. Lovely allergies are ramping up too.  Oh and I'm still hungry ALL THE TIME

    3. Are you planning for a natural delivery, planned c-section, know you're getting an epi or just going to let everything happen one step at a time? I planned last time to let whatever happen, happen.  Went naturally for the first 12 hours, got an epi, then emergency c-section after 26 hours.  This time around, I will schedule a recurring c-section at 40-41 weeks but if I go into labor on my own, I will try for a vaginal delivery.  I'll go for as long as I can without an epi but I know at some point I'll probably get it!

    4. How far away from the hospital/birthing centerl are you? we're about 15 minutes from the hospital without traffic and about 25 with.  Last time we headed to the hospital at 3am so we were there pretty fast :)

  • 1. How many weeks are you and what size is the baby? 21 weeks and she's the size of a pomegranate ( although the OB is concerned because she's measuring BIG at 1lb 4oz)

    2. How are you feeling?  Any new complaints? I am feeling pretty good. I still get random bouts of exhaustion and my sugar levels are starting to rise so we're keeping an eye on that. Other than that, I feel pretty good.

    3. Are you planning for a natural delivery, planned c-section, know you're getting an epi or just going to let everything happen one step at a time? I am planning on a vaginal delivery with an epi. The OB said they don't give the epi right away, but they make you labor first and then give it to you, but just enough so that it starts to wear off when the time for pushing arrives. They say doing it that way will give be better muscle control. I don't know either way, this is my first time.

    4. How far away from the hospital/birthing center are you? I am 40 minutes away from the hospital. Although, if I do into labor at work, I'll only be 15 minutes away, tops. DH is kind of nervous about it, but I figure, I'll make it in time since labor can take awhile (depending on the situation of course).

    1. How many weeks are you and what size is the baby?

23 weeks, and according to your answer, a papaya :)

    2. How are you feeling?  Any new complaints?

I'm still just pretty tired - I feel terrible for DS.  I have little energy for much these days.  And carrying him is becoming challenging.  Other than that, I am absolutely hating how I look in maternity clothes this time around.  It should get interesting once I hit 30 weeks +.  Oh, and my doctor has me on biweekly ultrasounds to monitor my cervical length (apparently instead of 3 cm it's 2.9- yay).  But, other than that, I'm good.

    3. Are you planning for a natural delivery, planned c-section, know you're getting an epi or just going to let everything happen one step at a time?

Definitely planning on an epidural, but am more than a little terrified that this time when I go into labor it'll be super quick and I won't have time to get one.

    4. How far away from the hospital/birthing centerl are you?

We're about 20 minutes away from the hospital (depending on traffic on the parkway), and my work is about 5.  My husband just opened a pizzeria about 45 mins to an hour from the hospital, and he's working super long hours 6 days a week, so that could also make this birth experience interesting...

  • 1. How many weeks are you and what size is the baby? 22 weeks!  Baby is the size of a papaya!

    2. How are you feeling?  Any new complaints? Feeling pretty good. Finally have some energy and feeling movement consistently!!  My back and hips bother me more than anything, especially after sitting for any prolonged period of time.  Sleeping isn't fantastic either but I finally broke down and bought a Snoogle and a Boppy wedge.  Both have helped a lot!

    3. Are you planning for a natural delivery, planned c-section, know you're getting an epi or just going to let everything happen one step at a time?  I plan on getting an epi but really my plan is to just go with the flow.

    4. How far away from the hospital/birthing centerl are you? 5-7 minutes.  Maybe 10 with lights and/or traffic.  We're super close which is really reassuring.
