Manda-Kay, why don't you summon Bump Jackie and request a name change? I've seen them done a lot recently and wanting to not have your real name shown is a legit reason.
Or email community@thebump.com
They changed mine for that reason.
Never even thought of that! Now to decide what my new name shall be ... MrsMcAwesome? Glitterfarts? A12board4lyfe?

One of many theories about why there are so many highly allergic kids is because we(collectively) have over sanitized and Purell'd the world so you are doing your child a favor by letting them be a kid and get dirty.
Creationism, really? The Christian ultra right keeps getting crazier and crazier.
My FFFC is that I get really irate about the misinformation disseminated about fertility and infertility, sometimes from medical professionals. Infertility causes stress, not the other way around. All the relaxation in the world will not remove endometrial adhesions, unblock Fallopian tubes or make sperm more motile. When a woman undergoes IVF and an embryo is placed in her uterus, it I'd transferred, it is not implanted. I absolutely hate it when incorrect terminology is used. Also, infertility is an equal opportunity condition that affects men just as much as it affects women, Lecture now over.

I accidently stuck my baby with a pin this morning
I crocheted her a wool diaper cover and needed to see where to put the button, but it had to be on her get the right placement. I couldn't figure how else to mark the place, so I used pins. I was super careful, but she jerked when I was placing the last pin and it stuck her a little.
Mo, I can't imagine how hard dealing with IF must be. And then working with docs who probably never have had to actually experience it and just sound moronic on top of that must be awful.
Also, I was perversely wondering of anyone was going to come and be all, "Creationism is Truth!" I saw one of those magnetic fish car things. It was a Jesus fish being eaten by a Darwin [amphibian?] being eaten buy a larger Truth fish, meaning Creationism is truth? They had about 500 other annoying bumper stickers and were driving a huge van. I wanted to key it. H said that wasn't productive. He's such a jerk sometimes.

I agree with all of this.
I use vinegar and baking soda for almost all of our household cleaning. Works just fine, and I don't need to worry about DD licking chemicals off the floor! Not that she licks the floor or anything...
While I haven't struggled with IF, I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to see so much misinformation being spread. People are generally twats when it comes to TTC, childbirth and parenting. Everyone is an expert because they watched a show on TV once, or watched some stupid documentary. I'm looking at you, TBOBB...
. Being able to conceive easily does not make someone a fertility expert. I hate IVF if not covered in the majority of health insurance plans while all sorts of other medical procedures are. Unfortunately Octomom and her unethical quack now unlicensed RE did nothing to further the cause of IF to the general public.

I don't feel comfortable talking about how much I'm struggling with DH being gone. Wednesday was his birthday and yesterday was our anniversary so it's been a tough week with lots of tears. I feel like when I say things it's a "whoa is me" post. With other things going on with other Bumpies I feel like DH being overseas is cake. He's making money and will be on unemployment when he gets home so he'll have an income even though is temporary. My baby is healthy. I feel like I have nothing worth being upset about because things could be worse.
I feel like a total hypocrite for posting this. Thank you for reading.
Your husband is overseas. You miss him and he misses you. He's missing out on things and you're missing out on things. You have ever right to be upset!!!
Feel free to write a post about it anytime you feel like it. You and other military spouses are amazing people. I couldn't handle what you ladies do. You are strong women and it's okay to miss your spouse and be sad!

This is probably a whole different thread's debate in its own, but I get stabby whenever anyone claims that the dinosaurs and humans coexisted and lived together or that human could not possibly have evolved from ape like primates.
I understand that people hold sacred certain religious beliefs, but I think that everyone should be open minded about other interpretations of our origins. I respect others' beliefs in creation, but I believe in evolution and science. I guess I get stabby because some people adamantly refuse to open up for interpretation or try to preach to me about how much I am wrong.
No further FFFCs today. It has been fun reading everyone else's.

Okay I have to make a confession that is so ridiculously embarrassing...Remember way back when we were all KU and someone posted about a baby psychic or something who could predict what you were having?nbsp; I totally paid her 10 and she emailed me and told me I was having a girl...I'm embarrassed that I did that and I didn't tell DH because he would have thought I was loony.nbsp;
. I totally don't think I was part of the board yet...because I totally would have done the same thing! One of the many reasons I heart you :
The ability to conceive without difficulty is only one part of the equation, and it's hard when people don't get that. I've had people flat out tell me "well, at least you get pregnant" and that's like a knife in the gut.
Being a habitual aborter is its own kind of fertility hell. I wish people wouldn't play Pain Olympics with this stuff. It all sucks.
I have a friend like this. I think she had 7 miscarriages between her first and second child, and I don't know how many before her first child. I cannot imagine... I'm so sorry you both (and others) have to go through that.

This is not pointed at you Mo, but it is off your comment.
I conceive very easily. First try, every time.
All seven of them.
I have two living children.

(Again, this is just a general thought, not directed at Mo)
. Every so often when the IF board was a lot more active, someone would post a question about which was more painful, being unable to conceive or conceiving and losing the pregnancy. These posts were received with lots of hostility, as they should have been. The fact is that being unable to conceive a take home baby is incredibly painful for whatever the reason-inability to conceive, pregnancy loss, no insurance coverage and unable to afford the high cost of IVF or any other reason.
