Really dry nipples?

So I thought I had thrush since my nipples are extremely dry and chapped, or that LO has a bad latch. I saw an LC and she said no to both, my nipples are just extremely dry. Anyone else have this and have reco on how to resolve? I even got blood while pumping tonight, sorry if gross or TMI.

I'd try coconut oil. It's moisturizing, and has antibiotic and antifungal properties.

  • I had this too when LO was about a month old! I thought I had thrush but my midwife told me my nipples were just dry!! She said get liquid vitamin E oil and gently rub a little on each nipple after every few feedings. It helped SOOO much so anytime I get that same feeling, I use the vitamin E oil.
