He's beautiful! Congratulations and good on you for toughing out such a strenuous labor!
Thank you for sharing your story.
We're having the same concerns about the floating since I'm having good contractions and I'm dilating, but baby is still at minus 2 station. My dr sent me home from my appt today after a sweep at 4cm and told me to meet her at LD in the AM, if I'm not back there already by then. Very inspirational to hear you still had a natural birth and you and baby are doing well, all things considered.
That second midwife needs a new job.
He is adorable, Tab!!!! He looks like you! Has Lucy met him yet?
Lucy loved him! She didn't want to leave the hospital with my parents. She kept saying "aww baby, hold him hold him". She also completely reduced me to mush when she saw me and said "mama, I missed you". It had been over 24 hours since I had seen her so the feeling was definitely mutual.
Oh, and he looks JUST LIKE LUCY as a baby. When I get a minute, I'll find her pic and post a side by side.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone! Now I need to go catch up on my congrats for all the other mamas.
Oh, Jessica. He's amazingly beautiful ad you are, too! What a trooper. You did everything right for your baby boy, I'm really so impressed. I'm sorry it was so long and hard, but you hold be so proud of yourself! Congratulations to you and T!
Gorgeous son! So many congratulations ... Sorry it was a tough day, but so glad you and little one are safe and sound!
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.
“So can you understand? Why I want a daughter while I’m still young?
I wanna hold her hand and show her some beauty before all this damage
is done. But if it’s too much to ask, it’s too much to ask … Then send
me a son.” – Arcade Fire
That is quite the story! I'm sorry things didn't go quite how you wanted them - but it sounds like you have a wonderful outlook on things! Congratulations on your cutie!!
