in Pregnant after a Loss

My long and eventful day in L&D has come to an end. Baby's still doing great and I'm on bedrest for the next two days plus I need to follow up with the MFM practice and my OB tomorrow to see what the next steps will be. The bleeding has slowed almost to a stop and isn't red anymore, so that's good, too.

I don't need any more excitement, pleaseandthankyou.

Six years of infertility and loss, four IUIs, one IVF and one very awesome little boy born via med-free birth 10.24.13.

    Glad to hear that things are starting to settle down.  And I'm in agreeance, no more excitement, it scares the Cr@p out of us. You just sit back and tell your body to behave.

    Here's to a long and very boring rest of the pregnancy! 

    The on-call OB thinks it might be a tiny placenta tear so she wants me to have the MFM team re-scan me with the higher res ultrasound sometime soon. Her alternate guess was a cervical polyp or burst blood vessel of some sort, but that seems a bit far fetched to me, given the amount of blood. I'm not a medical professional though so maybe it's possible.

    DX PCOS and annovulatory
    1/12 Clomid (3 rounds total and no response)
    DH SA = normal
    6/12 Femara (2 rounds)no response
    8/12 1st round Gonal F and 2 follies = BFN
    9/12 2nd round injects and 3 follies = BFP!
    10/15 11dpo beta#1 = 162 10/17 beta #2 = 471 1st U/S: Quads!!!

    I had a bleed last week with some clotting and the ER dr. told me the same thing about a placenta tear. Then my regular dr. said it was a burst blood vessel that leaked because my placenta was slightly on top of my cervix. They said it should move and most likely won't happen again but if it does not to freak out...like that is possible being PgAL!

    I'm so glad that you and baby are ok! Praying for no more scares for you!!
