We didn't use that particular model, but have tried the Special Tomato Height Right Chair. I think Keekaroo brand makes one too. My son used one during feeding therapy and it was really helpful to keep him comfortable at the table. We are looking to purchase one with our waiver budget.
She recommended it because DD, if not in a 90-90-90 angle tends to balance herself with her tongue. She really needs to be in perfect posture in order to eat. Our babysitter went to DD's sessions yesterday and said that DD ate for her like she's never eaten before, all with the posture change.
Our OT rec'd the peg perego one, which I was able to get used via a mother's of multiples tag sale.
For Stokke, I know gilt.com often has them, but you may want to reach out to the company and see if they offer any discounts. My philosophy is that it NEVER hurts to ask.
We have a special tomato chair, similar I believe to the stokke. We got it more for sensory issues. DD needs to have her feet resting on something solid and it helps her be at the right height to work on crafts, beading, handwriting etc. so far I like it.
I spoke to our lending closet. Unfortunately they had no Stokkes or Special Tomatoes in stock. So I just purchased the Stokke. I'll have the SLP write a letter of necessity and see about getting reimbursed by insurance. Doubt it'll happen but it's worth the try.
