First Haircut

Dumb question...

What counts as a first haircut? Is it just trimming the hair at home or actually going to get their hair cut at a salon?

Ultimately, I know it's up to us. I'm just wondering what other people are doing. LO has a head full of hair, but only a few strands are hanging halfway down her nose when you brush it straight. It's naturally wavy, so it's just touching her eyebrows now.

    I trimmed DD's bangs acouple of months ago. I do not consider that her first haircut.

    I always trimmed hers myself, but my LO's first real haircut was at 2.

    I always trimmed my daughter's bangs, but don't consider that a haircut. We're going today for her very first "real" haircut and she turned 3 years old in April!! Her hair is soooo long!
