leaking??

So I've been extra wet down there and earlier I felt a small gush. When I checked I had a wet panty liner. It was clear with kind of a brown/ red tinge and smelled almost sweet to me though my husband swears it was salty . Is it possible that was my fluid? 40 weeks today. What should I do? Might add that its 9:30 at night where I am at

    Lay down for a bit and if when you get up you get another gush it could be your fluid. If it is it will keep leaking , also why did your husband day it was salty ? Did he taste it?

    That is more than likely your water, I would go to labor and delivery.

    When my water broke, I didn't think it had, because it wasn't clear. Turns out there was meconium in it, so definitely get checked out!
