Ultrasound annoyance

So I need to rant, and also see if anyone else has experienced this.  I found out i was pregnant on May 20th. Went into the docs to confirm the hpt. They just yes faint, but there. We can't really determine my due date because i had a miscarriage April 17th. So haven't had a normal period in a few months. That being said, I took a pregnancy test on may 13 as well as the 18th that were negative, then got a faint positive on the 20th and a strong positive on the 26th. Had very slight spotting on the 17/18th which doctor said he felt was just implantation bleeding.

So he sends me for an ultrasound to determine the due date, but they tell me when I get there they won't do it because I'm not ar enough along. Which is fine. But I've had sore breasts since the 12th of this month and felt pregnant since shortly after that and this lady says I'm probably only 2 weeks pregnant so come back the end of June when I "should" be the minimum 6 weeks.  How on earth can i only be 2weeks pregnant? She made this guess after hearing my miscarriage date. But there is no way the hpt picked up that I was pregnant at only 1-2 weeks is there? Personally I think I'm 4-5 weeks but i guess I won't know for another four weeks! Bleh!  Just had to vent.  Anyone else experience this type of issue?

First if your not temping or charting then you probaly do not know when you ovulated. How far along where you when you miscarried in April cause it could take awhile for the hormone to get out of your system so the first few HPT could have been leftover hormones. The strong positive you got on the 26 may be that you are only a few weeks along. I got my positive at 3 weeks 6 days so you may just be super early dear.

I miscarried April 17th and my doc thought i was only 5-6 weeks. Then took a hpt on may 13 which was negative and one on may 18 which was also negative. Took a third on may 20 which was faint positive, then another on may 26 that was strong positive.  I know it's early for sure i guess I was just confused by the suggestion that I could be only 2 weeks currently? Due to the positive tests i didn't think they could pick up until 3-4 weeks.

I also assumed that it couldn't be residual from the miscarriage as the first two tests had been negative but maybe that was an incorrect assumption?  I was just annoyed i had to drink all that water and then waddle around work for an hour trying to not pee my pants only to get no ultrasound anyways lol. I have to pee so much as it is :)

When I found out I thought I was 45 weeks along but after gettin first ultrasound at my "7week" I was told I was measuring around bout 5 1/2. 6 weeks so when I tested I would have only been around 2 weeks. I had irregular periods in them bein longe then normal so that made seance to me. I was a little like oh I thought I was father along then what I was but I'm still happy that I am pregnant!! I would not worry to much maybe just wait like a week or two then go back. I no it is frustrating. Congratulations by the way!!!

I'm wondering if the tech was talking about the age of baby, not weeks from the standard lmp/Mc date?

I'm not sure either? I just know she doesn't want me back for four more weeks because she said you can't see anything in an ultrasound until 6 weeks, which I understand. And she wants to ensure I'm at least 6 weeks. So that's four weeks from now. Seems like a terribly long wait :) Especially since I have no way of calculating my due date without the ultrasound. Guess I just have to wait and continue to cross my fingers that everything is good to go and to see whether I'm due the end of January or the beginning of February like the tech thinks. I need to take stocks out in a pregnancy test company lol.

Even if you are 4-5 weeks, they won't be able to determine much on an ultrasound.
