Tatum

Hi ladies!

Having the hardest time naming our son. I'm pretty in love with Tate but DF hates it thinking it sounds like "taint."

I sort of like Tatum, and he is ok with that knowing that we will call him Tate for short ( I know makes no sense that he would be ok with it that way)

I personally think Tatum sounds masculine but am hearing conflicting things. What do you think?

While I am not a fan of the name in general, personally I would probably think girl first as IRL that is all I have seen/heard it used recently. I also feel like it seems like someone is a huge Channing Tatum fan.

i saw a picture of him yesterday with his name under it and was just like yea that's a cool name! I am having the hardest time with a name!

Tatum has always reminded me of taint and every time someone has posted this name on her at like 5 others say the same. Tate REALLY sounds too much like taint. I don't like either. At all. Plus the connection with Channing Tatum puts it far over the top.

Sorry fellow Jill... but not a fan.

The only Tatums I've known are girls.

Not crazy about Tate either. For me it's in the same family as Brody and Biff. Feels incomplete.

I absolutely adore the name Tatum - for a girl. I have never met a boy with this name.

Tatum is 100% girl, IMO. I only know of one Tatum, a little girl. They call her tater tot.

Not a fan of the name (especially on a boy!).

I'm a teacher and for the past 6 years I've always had a Tatum in my class and they've always been girls. And according to Behindthename.com, it's a girl's name, not a boys (not even considered unisex). If you like Tate, just go with that.
