It's Starting!

I'm due June 28 and today I had my first weekly appointment. My doctor said I am 1 cm dilated and 50 percent effaced! It's starting! I feel so excited and emotional today. Thinking about it makes me want to cry. I know it could be weeks before she arrives but it feels so real and so close now. I just feel so excited!

    woo hoo for the Late June mamas! we very well could follow the trend set by the early June mamas who delivered in May, going 1-2 weeks early!

    Yay! So exciting! That's exactly what I was a week ago and today I am now 2 centimeters! It's nuts how something so small can give you so much excitement!!

    I'm almost halfway jealous of you ladies who have even gotten internals, because at least you got checked lol. I had my appt yesterday and, beyond a GBS test, BP, urine, and hearing baby's heartbeat? It was a typical appt. not even sure if I'll get an internal before 37 weeks. I do know kiddo has dropped and I think I'm also slowly losing my plug. also have a June 30 due date...but, I've had a nice increase in contractions lately so hopefully i've dilated some...

    Congrats!  I lost my plug today (I'm assuming - I had some snotty discharge and there was a... thing in the toilet) and as of my appointment yesterday was 1cm.  I'm 38w2d so I really could go at any time!

    Very cool!  I was exactly like that with my first daughter and the next weekly check-up I was 100% effaced and 2-3cm dilated.  I had my baby girl that very night so you never know how fast it could go.  I went from 50% effaced to 100% effaced overnight it happened very fast for me with contractions coming every five minutes.  Exciting news!!
