    I revise my previous statement.

I don't care if you don't understand it.

    Is that better?

Ok, then I don't care either.

    We have an apathy truce.

Phew, I thought we were going to netbattle over what I can't even remember.

Oliver is my "baby", so I carry him a lot more than necessary.  I'm going to have a hard time letting go of this one. I feel sorry for his future partner. I think I'm going to be "that" MIL.

This got me a bit misty-eyed for a second.  I hate thinking of LOs growing up.

I know what you mean!  It's really hard.  I'm so glad I have Oliver because I don't know what I'd do without him in a few years when the other 2 go off to college or whatever.

We are still in the battling stage between "you either hold my hand or you get carried" because little dude wants to explore every inch of everywhere.  The parking lot/side walk is the biggest battle.

Get the leash. It's been awesome for DD who fights the hand or the carrying. We picked one up at walmart for $10 or 11. They have them on amazon prime, too.

+1.  DD2's is a monkey backpack, the tail is the leash part.  It's frackin' cute.  Half the time she just wants to carry the monkey portion, we don't even have to put it on her.  We will when it's crowded, for the sake of not having her jarred and her drop the thing.  But otherwise...yeah, she actually likes it.

I'd say the kid in the firetruck at the mall had to be big for her age, right? Would an 11 or 12 year old be caught dead in one of those things?

LOL It was definitely an older kid.

Her mom couldn't even see over her head, she had to look around the side to see where she was going.

I'm going with autistic on this one.

Honestly I have no idea how old "too old" is for a stroller. I never use one. I loved baby wearing when mine was little, and by the time she was too old to be worn regularly or even was just in the up/down phase, I just wanted her to get as much exercise as possible and a stroller was contrary to this purpose. I look at people pushing 2 year olds in strollers at the zoo and just think "WHY?" Lol that's not a judgment as clearly 2 is not too old for a stroller, it's just where I come from with a SUPER active little one. I go to the zoo so SHE can get exercise. I also get pissy when DH carries her around. Screw that! She can walk!

Curious where you stand on "kid leashes" in that case. DD would have stayed with me at 2 at the zoo but DS who is not quite 2 will not. I agree that us like him to walk but the zoo is busy and I know I'd get major side eye if I leashed him.

Well here's my FFFC in light of today's UOs. I, by and large, treat my kids as young as they'll let me to. I don't deny them to be carried (even 6yo DS who's 52lbs when he wants to be carried up to bed). I will rush through the morning routine if either of my kids want to spend part of that time cuddling. I still let them have special sleepovers in our bed on occasion and I bedshared with DD for a year. DS had a nuk until he was 3.

I operate under the philosophy that there is a very finite amount of time for me to have with them at every stage, and that I'm never going to look back and say, "Gee, I wish I wouldn't have carried DS up the stairs those nights."

I don't have a problem with people who co-sleep, or whatever it is called. I can't do it, because DD1 does MMA in her sleep, and DD2 won't sleep anywhere but her crib (or a PNP at DC). I love snuggling with them, when they will let me. I hate pacis now because they are so damn hard to keep track of, and we are down to three, and I refuse to buy more. I physically lack the strength to carry DD1 very far, and DD2 for very long without causing me physical discomfort.

Yeah, my mom used to use that kind on my little brother and I.  I hated that shiit because I hated being tugged around by the wrist and I thought it was embarrassing when I got a little older.  But the backpacks are too friggin' cute, and even my 6-year-old still wants to have it sometimes, lol, though she asks me to take the tail part off.

I prefer having smaller C cup boobs over DD's on a small frame. Bigger boobs, like you get in early pregnancy before your baby bump grows, make me feel self conscious and over exposed. I'd even settle for a B.

I hate having DDs. I was a D before DS which I didn't love but even when I stopped nursing my boobs stayed DDs. Ridiculous. I haven't been a C since middle school but I wish that's what I was now.

My UO on the bathing suit topic is I don't like bikinis on anyone. Even people with smoking hot bodies. I think one pieces look better.

My other UO is that I think some people play up being a war veteran. I know if you were enrolled in the military during war time you are considered a war vet but if you never got even got close to the battlefronts I think calling yourself a war vet takes away from those that actually were there.

What don't you like about it?  Do you feel like people are over-exposed in them or something?  One pieces look redic on me.  I have zero curves so I need the break in fabric to give me some shape.  I also have a short torso so most of them are too long and the straps sag.

I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

Dude, the carrying comment wasn't judgment. It's just that we'll go somewhere like to an outdoor restaurant downtown and we have to park a block or so away. Not far, obviously. She can walk. But DH will scoop her up without her even asking and carry her because it's easier than reminding her to stay close to us or waiting for her to sniff all the flowers or whatever. I'd much rather let her walk and get that little bit of exercise.

I'm gonna carry DS as long as he wants me to and I'm strong enough to pick him up. He's not going to be little forever, and one day he won't WANT daddy to carry him (or my back won't allow it). So I'm going to cherish every moment of him being little I can.

My UO. I may have seen this on TB before, but it bears repeating.

I think caucasian women, in general, are too hard on themselves when it comes to how they look. And I include myself in that statement.

The women of color I see dressed in things I would never leave the house in seem so much happier and at peace with their bodies. I am torn, because at first I get all, eww, I would never ... But then, I think, good for them. I'm the stupid one.

I still don't like skinny jeans.

Lets get an example of said clothing choices.

I would have to go outside my office for that. And I have been told it is not nice to post pics of people just to make fun of them (I think it was last week, actually).

A description would work, or google image. I guess I need clarification before I agree with your generalization. There's a difference between deluding yourself and having self-esteem, if that makes sense.

I can agree with you on that. I'm talking more about women worrying about wearing short shorts because they aren't a size 2 or 4 or wearing something low cut because their boobs are large, or wearing a halter without a bra if you're saggy. I would be uncomfortable, but the women in South Florida seem to say, love me or leave me. A little jiggle doesn't mean you aren't sexy. Your asss eating your shorts may be a bit delusional.

In any event, more power to the women who feel they are sexy at any size.

LOL because that works super awesome when they just sit there screaming their little heads off or stopping the wheels with their foot or hand.

Also, pretty sure they are under control with the leash, which is a lot easier to hold than a squirmy little toddler hand that's the size of fifty cent piece.

I may have been a judgmental a$$hole before DS too. . . and I'm paying for it.  Wait until one of them has a 3 year old screaming, "I hate  you!" and kicking the hell out of them while they try to, "strap them into a stroller."

It's all fun and sweet when they're in your belly or sleeping.  When 2 and 3 roll around - all bets are off.

What don't you like about it?  Do you feel like people are over-exposed in them or something?  One pieces look redic on me.  I have zero curves so I need the break in fabric to give me some shape.  I also have a short torso so most of them are too long and the straps sag.

Maybe that's part of it. I don't know. I just think most women look better in a one piece or even a tankini in a style that flatters their shape. There are a lot of different styles, some have halters or no straps at all. I'm not just talking about boring old lifeguard style one pieces. I get the convenience of a bikini, though.

Like I think Sofia Vergara looks nicer in the one piece than in the bikini, even though of course she totally rocks a bikini.

Cookie Monster is the best sesame street character. Much better than Elmo. I've been rewatching some old bits with DS, and Cookie Monster makes some HILARIOUS throwaway comments you have to be paying attention to catch.

    Dislike Sesame Street!

    What the WHAAAAA?

And you were presumably born in 1977... were you raised Amish with no TV?

    Thank you for the pictures.

You are still wrong, and the photos you posted undermine you. The bikini is waaaaay hotter.
