new game plan-letrozole

I finally have a new plan in place with my dr. What a frustrating past 2-3 weeks! Filled with lots of appointments, blood work and no answers or plans until yesterday! after a 73 day long cycle the provera worked! Yesterday-day 3, my Dr. wanted to have an appointment with me to discuss "our next move." she has now put me on letrozole 5mg. Im hoping for some good results from this! Anyone have experience with letrozole? Good,Bad? side effects?

I have taken 3 rounds of letrozole and have had no side effects. (Clomid made me vomit after only 1 dose, so I got switched directly to letrozole.) I ovulate on my own and produced 2 follicles each cycle. Hope this is your cycle! Good luck!

I'm in my second cycle of using it. My first cycle I had follicles earlier and now my second it took a little bit long about 56 days. The side effects weren't horrible. I had some nausea and headaches. DH said I was moody too. Good luck with your new game plan!

I was on Letrozole/Femara 5mg my first IUI cycle. I really like it because I really didn't have any side effects. I hear some people have night sweats, but I didn't. I was a slow responder with the 5mg so I had to do a stair-step method to get my follies up. But my diagnosis is anovulation so I think I am more resistant to meds anyways. this cycle I took 7.5mg and had on 17mm which is amazing for me since the biggest mine got last time were 13/14. anyways...I like Letrozole and I hope you will too and get good response! Everyone responds to it differently and I hope you are a good responder! GL!!

I am on letrozole right now. I was switched to letrozole this cycle since my lining last month only got to a little over 6 on my first round of clomid. I had a b of a headache all day yesterday which I have a feeling was from the medication, but that's all I have noticed. Hopefully it's worth it for a better lining this month! Good luck!

tomorrow will be my last day on it and I like it a WHOLE lot better than Clomid. Clomid made me feel nuts and I had horrible night sweats and hot flashes. It was not fun! Femara/Letrozole has only given me a headache once. It was pretty stout. But I took some tylenol and and laid down for awhile. It wasn't too horrible. I don't know if its just me but I feel like I'm hungry all the time and could eat a whole fridge. But I felt that way with the clomid too! Maybe its the Metformin? LOL! I hope it goes well for you!
