It's clean but there are toys and puzzle pieces and random stuff strewn about. It would take about 20 minutes to clean up everything.
we've told people that if you're just going to stop by without calling or you call and will be there in less than 10 minutes, expect it to look like a Toys R Us exploded here. Also, don't expect me to be showered. That only happens at night after the kids are in bed.

No, and I hate it! I just can't seem to keep a tidy house. I have clutter strewn all over my kitchen bar counters and DD's school papers on the breakfast nook table along with random toys around. Her playroom looks like she's pulled everything out from everywhere and I can barely walk in there. I need to do a serious toy clear out and my floors are a mess. I have a furry dog and there are dog hair bunnies all over the place, it's gross! I don't make beds daily but the kitchen itself is okay & so is the living room. I also just did a quick tidy up during DD's nap but I could really use another hour or so to make it super tidy!My weekly housekeeper comes tomorrow or else I'd wipe the kitchen down and vacuum my floors but I'm just not in the mood. I will finish the tidy up after DD goes to bed since my housekeeper doesn't tidy, just cleans. She won't even put a single dirty glass in the dishwasher.

Yes and no...we had people over last night so it's "clean" but it would still have to tidied up before I'd have anyone over. The kids make a mess throughout the day.
Um, no. I have three children so pretty much the house gets trashed day to day. And my husband is home on vacation, so you know how that goes. The house is actually clean (as in it was vacuum, deep clean, bathrooms, etc yesterday morning), but HECK NO, it's not tidy at all.
No, our living room is strewn with toys and some other things, and our kitchen island is very cluttered. I could have guests over with about an hour's notice, though.
My house was looking pretty awesome recently. It was spotless for DD's baptism on the 19th, but the mess lingered for a few days and then I threw out my back and could barely move for a few more days...so it just hasn't recovered.

Yes, I would still like a moment to pick up the toys the kids were playing with before guests arrived but our house is pretty much guest ready with the exception of Friday, my "day off".
I keep up on it all day long (a little bit here and there) so it's not usually overwhelming.
I'm a bit high-strung when it comes to clutter. Like I can't sit down and eat or relax and watch TV if there's "stuff" that doesn't belong flung about. I always put everything back where it goes. Or shove homeless items into the floor of my closet. I de-clutter throughout the day so my house always appears clean.
Doesn't de-cluttering always sort of instantly make everything cleaner?!?
