hi, i'm new to the board. I have been lurking on a couple of other boards on the bump for a couple of weeks but didn't want to join in anywhere. I mostly lurk on trying to get pregnant but that board moves really fast and they can be kind of scary to join in. but then today I found this board and decided to join in because I don't know any other stay at home moms. most of the moms here work and none of my friends understand why i'm staying home. I have a son that is almost 2, i've been a stay at home mom since i was 30 weeks pregnant. J came when i was almost 37 weeks. my husband and i are both 25, and my husband is a pediatrician. i went to school for early childhood education and worked for about a year before deciding to stay home.
Re: new to the board
I was so just going to post that a cousin just graduated medical school at 25. She starts her residency which is another 3 years.
Hola, but calling bullsh!t.
Welcome to the board!
You can click on your avatar (that little picture above your name inside this post) which will take you to your Bio/profile. In the grey header bar, really small, is "edit my avatar & signature"... click that and scroll down. You will see a text box called "My forums signature". That is where you will paste the code from the ticker you will create from a website like lilypie or here on The Bump you can create one: https://global.thebump.com/tickers/default.aspx
Please read our board FAQs here: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/43597323.aspx

It's our tradition to be snarky to newcomers. If you tough it out, we reward you with acceptance :P
No worries here! He graduated from med school and is technically an MD, which is a big accomplishment for both of you (those long hours of studying are no fun for you either). My DH is just finishing up his residency in internal medicine and is planning to practice for a year and the apply for a fellowship. Like Cnamom said, there has just been some drama lately, so everyone is on their toes.
I think some of us may have a weird online form of post traumatic stress or something from the latest drama. HAHA. This board is really cool usually ! I like us... but I like a bit of crazy
LOL, I was going to say, my DH went straight through school and he wasn't an anesthesiologist until he was 30.
