Not the coffee!

I love coffee. I usually cannot go a day without a cup. I drank it all throughout my first pregnancy but the thought of it now makes me sick. So sad.

Can't imagine drinking it and can't imagine not drinking it. How about you all? What's on your no list right now?

Re: Not the coffee!

  • Exact same thing. Going into work this morning I was so tired I was fantasizing about sleeping at my desk and could have really used a cappucino, but the idea of it was turning me off too much. Can't drink most teas either and I don't like soft drinks nor are they healthy for the baby, so I will need to find another source of caffeine if I keep being this tired!

  • Cream cheese. I was at the shore with my family and we had bagels and no cream cheese. I sent Dh, practically begged him for light veggie cream cheese. When he came back from the store I could not imagine anything I could want less. Looks like I will be going for a bagel with butter for a while

  • Melted cheese is my arch nemesis right now. I can't even think about it. DH wanted to get pizza this weekend which is normally my favorite food. There is no way it's happening any time soon!

I was loving it up until today. It grossed me out at first, but somehow I managed to sip it down. My nausea comes in waves so hopefully I can still continue to enjoy my 1 cup a day!

  • I pretty much have zero desire for coffee right now.

  • I, too, LOVE coffee!  I haven't yet found that it digusts me with this pregnancy though...although it'd be easier to give it up if it did! LOL

Thankfully I'm still able to enjoy my coffee.

But I can't handle eating any sort of meat! Cooking or eating steak, pork, chicken etc is so gross lately. I can't do it!

  • I really wanted hamburgers yesterday, but when I started making them, the smell and look of the raw meat was almost too much for me. I ended up doing them while mouth breathing and looking out the window. Needless to say, they were not the best shaped burgers I've ever done. When my husband brought them in from the grill, he said "look, we're having sliders!" LOL.

Coffee gave me the dry heaves yesterday, but I think it was the creamer I use and not the coffee. Because today is better. (Different creamer)

  • I had to quit drinking coffee too.  I have a ton of aversions this time around.  Some days all I can even fathom eating is dry cereal.  The mere thought of anything else is revolting.  Today is one of those days :(

I also drank coffee right through my pregnancy with my first no problems. This time, it is just starting to get to me. I love the first few sips and then it becomes too much and the smell becomes nauseating. So bizarre! Last time I couldn't eat chicken and this time the thought of pork is getting to me. It's so crazy how each time is different. I think for second time moms its hard to compare to the first. Lately I have been trying to compare my morning sickness and exhaustion. I can't possibly compare them. Last time I was able to sleep and rest and be more lazy and was way more aware of my nausea. This time it doesn't matter because I have a one year old to chase around all day long! It definitely has helped me feel better at times but also its harder on days where I just need to rest!

I was dying for hamburgers yesterday too and then when it came time to eat them, I couldn't do it.

  • This is me exactly.  I haven't been able to drink my morning cup of coffee in the last week.  It just turns my stomach.  So sad, I love coffee.

I was able to have a starbucks in the afternoon this weekend, so I think it's just a morning thing for me.  Unfortunately if I drink it in the afternoon I'm typically up later, so I don't do it often.

  • Just the smell of coffee makes me gag these days! Poor DH can't even make it at home, we live in a nyc apt. I want mexican food all the time!!!!

  • I feel very lucky to still be enjoying my coffee.   I'm thinking of switching to 1/2 caf, though, since I usually drink 2-3 cups a day and I know that's too much.
  • The coffee is the only thing helping me with my nausea this morning! So strange how that works.

Right away, turkey tasted gross to me. I had a bite of turkey leg at a fair and was so grossed out, then had a turkey pre-made meal and had to throw it out.  And I still keep accidentally ordering it - Sunday I idiotically ordered a turkey burger out of habit!

  • I am a coffee addict, I love it. French pressed Columbian is better than any dessert. But noooow it makes me want to gag. So sad. I would love to be able to have a half cup here and there but I'm so turned off of it. Same with tea, I tried making a peppermint and red raspberry blend but I couldn't even take one sip.

HOWEVER. I did manage to make and devour steak for breakfast yesterday. And this morning I made slow cooker stew just so I could sneak pieces of delicious beef.
    I have a problem lol
