I'm disgusted with how overplayed the Rihanna song Stay is. I change a radio station to get rid of it and it's on the other station that I flipped to. What the helllll? I wish that she would take a break from making music. I'm sick of her.
I cannot get the song that OM posted about the other day out of my head. Blurred Lines. I've listened to it at least once a day since then.nbsp; It's making me wish I was 19 again and back at the clubs.
Is there a club for women of a certain age who still wanna boogey like they're 20 but not have to compete with the yunggins? Because we should go there.

Omg all of this. If I could punch a song in the face right now it would be Stay.
Pharrell is killing it lately! Blurred Lines and Get Lucky are definitely going to be my summer songs.

OMG we need to create this chain, like right meow. It will be a huge success.
There needs to be like a babysitting portion for sure.
Fo Sho! And it's any music UO or whatever. Nothing specific. Keep her rolling.

Yep. It's called Vegas.
I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...
"It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" - A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
I feel a bit out of touch. I don't commute to work so I don't listen to the radio anymore and never know what the new songs are until I hear them on a commercial or something. I mostly listen to music I download or internet or satellite radio where you pick a station based on genre. That said, I have a question for y'all. What is the last song you purchased? Don't lie, we can tell.

I was listening to David Bowie and Fleetwood Mac today. I'll just waltz on out of this thread.
Fleetwood Mac is timeless perfection. Everywhere is one of my faves.

-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.
I will confess that my latest purchase was an album by Milo Greene. The confession part is I discovered them while watching an episode of Supernatural. But the album is really good.

Previewing Get Lucky iTunes right now. NMS. I am so far past my going out dancing days. sad face. I think dance music has to have a little harder beat to it for me so I can picture running to it or something. Wasn't sure what I thought of Blurred Lines until I heard it blaring out of a car the other day. Now I kind of dig it. Don't know if I'll spend $.99 on it though.

Newest Tegan and Sara album. Heartthrob.
Love.
But that was a while ago. I'm a bit stuck with my music right now.
Heard them on Ellen. I like them.

I'm not gonna lie. I'm not a Fleetwood Mac fan. Like, at all. Stevie's voice kind of sends me through the roof. Stevie Wonder, on the other hand, is most certainly timeless perfection.

Listen to Everywhere. It's Christine McVie on lead vocals. Also, many of Fleetwood Mac songs are sung by Lindsay Buckingham. But I also enjoy Stevie Nicks' voice.

So awesome!
Has anyone heard Kanye's new singles? The one that he projected onto buildings all over the word, New Slaves? And then he also performed Black Skinhead on SNL. I thought they were both pretty awesome.
I broke the rule of the thread above, so I'll also say that I hate Pitbull and am still amazed that anyone defended him in the worst band ever thread I started awhile ago.

I did see Kanye, and me likey. I saw him in concert a few years back, and he put on a GREAT show. I'm not a huge fan of Pitbull; however, I do like that song he and Ne Yo collaborated together.

I am big into rap and hip hop...the more obscene the better.
I also love rap and hip hop.
The most recent purchase on my iTunes was Blurred Lines, but before that it was A$AP Rocky and Skrillex "Wild for the Night" and I also purchased The Game's new album and some old Nas songs.
And I also love Fleetwood Mac. I am all over the place when it comes to music!
I was disappointed in Kendrick Lamar when I heard he would be collaborating with Chris Brown. I think he is far too intelligent to run around with trash like Brown.
If you can read the story behind/listen to Lamar's song Sing About Me I'm Dying of Thirst and aren't jarred or affected by it, I seriously question your judgment.
Ugh, Chris Brown is the worst. Why Kendrick, why?
Thoughts on Kanye's new stuff?

Re: Music Monday
First we had eachother.5.27.11
Then we had you.6.16.12
Now we have everything.
Nelly really does do great country collaborations.

I love both!!
Yep. It's called Vegas.
I guess I will not vent about ATL radio, but I am a fan of most music. However, I need substance.
I really like hair metal, older (90s) country, and anything angry (as long as it's not whiny). I'm looking at you, Staind and Offspring.
I am ashamed I don't know more hip hop/rap, but I do learn a lot from friends and Zumba.
If I had to define it, classic rock and alternative would be my faves.
I also love ELO, Hall and Oates, Tesla, and the Who.
Fleetwood Mac is timeless perfection. Everywhere is one of my faves.
Get lucky is awesome
Absolute geniuses. All of them.
ETA:
Crap. I also forgot Motown. Al Greene. Otis. You KWIM.

Add me to this Post-it.
Everyone else, get your Post-its ready for me (if I'm not already on them):
The Black Keys: okay but overrated
Dave Matthews Band: no
Coldplay: no
Radiohead: no
Most modern country music: no

I'm with you on almost all of this, but I love me some Coldplay. Especially very early Coldplay. I'm not really into their newer stuff, though.
I also love rap and hip hop.
