NBR: Flip Flops . . . for me

I've worn Teva flip flops forever.  Always comfy, fit great.  Last summer, after I had DS, they were not as comfortable as they'd been in the past and I chalked it up to my feet still recovering from hormones and a bad case of edema I had after DS was born (the soles of my feet ached for forever after DS was born, but that finally subsided).  I bought some new Tevas this summer and, again, they are not comfortable.  My old ones are uncomfortable also (the bottom of my feet feel achey again after I wear them). I guess my feet have changed more than just going up a 1/2 size.

Anyone recommend a pair of good, comfy, and supportive flip flops?  I'm willing to spend a decent amount on them because besides wearing my running shoes, flip flops are what I practically live in over the summer.

TIA for any recommendations!

  • I have some Merrill's I got when pregnant that are not cute but are super comfy and supportive.
I also find my feet hurt the first couple of days that I wear flip flops, it's like they have to get used to it again.

  • Honestly, since having kids all the flip flops hurt my feet. None of them are comfortable. I notice my feet hurt a lot more when standing a long time than they ever used to too. I wear a lot of "athletic" look shoes instead as a result. I have a pair of keen slip ons that are so comfy and not at all ugly.

Tevas actually work best for me (so I'm no help) as do the C9 at Target ones.

  • Reefs have always been my favorite and most comfortable

  • Cobians are super comfortable. They are pretty similar to Reef, but with a little extra cushion. I've had mine for about two years, and they are still my favorite shoes!

I love Rainbows. They take a couple days to break in, but are super comfy after that.

Croc's Athenas. Super supportive for a flip flop.

  • Reefs (the styles that have a thicker sole) or Fit Flops. I always had horrible sensitive flat feet and now they are bigger and more sensitive since giving birth last year.
