Progesterone after sex?

Never put much thought into this until last night.

Obviously I have sex before insertion of my lovely vag pill, but after being inseminated, should I place the supplement? Is there any interference or increased chance of infection by doing so?

Curious for next time, i skipped my dose last night. It still freaks me out a bit to have sex, so it's been a minimal occurance anyways, but I feel this is something I need or should know!

Progesterone Suppositories are inserted into your vagina and are then absorbed by the body. You may notice some leakage of the medicine from your vagina when you are up and moving around. Do not worry about this because the medication is still being absorbed. You may want to wear a panty liner to protect your clothing. There are no activity restrictions while using the suppositories, including sex. It probably would be more comfortable to wait until after intercourse before inserting the suppository. Occasionally the leakage of the medicine can be irritating to the skin around your vagina; contact your physician if the vaginal irritation
becomes too bothersome.

I take progesterone as well and when dh and i have sex i wait about an hour or two after before i put in the supplement. I usually feel like ' everything' has come out by then. You should be comfortable with what you do so the best thing to do is probably ask your doctor.

I just went pee and then put it in. Being PG I always have to pee so it was an easy step.

Thanks for filling me in ladies!

I'd never thought about it and I'm pretty certain I'd never read anything about it in another post. I really had no clue what to do.

This is also what I do. Def not having sex a whole lot- like once every three weeks bc of the progesterone
