STTN

I think it's official...LO has STTN for the last week.  I go to bed every night thinking that it's just been a fluke, but at this point, I think I can call it.  He's also moved up his own bedtime by an hour, so I have had time to hang out with DH and have a little ice cream every night before bed.  That has been really nice!

Just in time for the four-month wakeful in a couple of weeks.  LOL.  That's okay, though; I'll take what I can get.  :-D

Re: STTN

  • Nice! Some babies never go through any "wakeful" periods, so maybe you'll get lucky :)

I just noticed your siggy. Where are you in the Bay area?

Haha! Congrats! I hear ya...DS STTN 4 times last week and 3 times so far this week...and I was thinking the same thing about the four month wakeful coming up. :P Oh well - time to focus on the present!

I also love the time at night with DH. LO goes down about 7:30 and I go to bed at 9:30, so we get a couple hours together which is great.

We are in East Bay...just moved here last July from Marin County. Are you in San Francisco proper?

  • YAY! My LO just started STTN also! She went from waking every 2 hours to STTN just like that. Also, I'm crossing my fingers that she doesn't go through the 4 month wakeful. Like a PP said, some babies don't. I know a few babies who started STTN at a later age than most and they said that they never had problems :) We can only hope!

Edited: My first response was...a little strong.

Marin wasn't for us for a lot of reasons.  I know a lot of people love it there, and I respect that, but I never felt comfortable when we were there.  It was a really difficult four years for me.  There are definitely people and places that I loved, but I'm really glad we made the move.  East Bay suits us and our lifestyle a lot better.  Are you from/living in Marin?
