Trouble TTC

Ah, another hold up - WW3TD

So, I was scheduled to see a new RE in June/July down in FL where we are moving. Just found out yesterday that I wont be getting orders or moving until mid/end August. I finally felt like things were moving along and now... STOP!

So, do you think I shoud see an RE here in the mean time? Just wait until August? Go back to my OB and see about doing another IUI (no meds, just IUI) because its covered so might as well? Geesh. I just don't know.

Me: 34 - Hydrosalpinx DH: 33
Previous history
IUI switched to TI x6 = BFN
IUI x2 = BFN
Essure procedure for hydro

New starts

*Possibly starting clomid in Sept or Oct

Re: Ah, another hold up - WW3TD

  • Personally, if you are able to do a monitored, natural cycle IUI and it is covered, I would do that in the mean time. If you have already done all of your testing, and there isn't much more that an RE would do outside of treatment, I don't know that I would find someone locally before you move.  It can take months to get into an RE, and it might not make sense to start with someone, only to transfer your records to someone new so soon. GL!

I agree with GG. I would do a natural IUI if it's covered and wait until you move to get started with an RE. You may want to go ahead and schedule your appointment now for early September so that you'll be ready to go when you move. GL!

This, but I would also make sure there is no lifetime max on your IF coverage.  I would not want to waste coverage on unmedicated IUIs.

    PAIF/SAIF Welcome!

  • Thanks everyone. I was kind of thinking the same thing. I'm going to call the RE in FL tomorrow and move my appointment to beginning of September.

I won't have any IF coverage when I move, so I think I'll contact my OB in the mean time and see about doing a monitored natural IUI cycle.

So far all of our testing has come back and nothing is preventing that. I updated my siggy but it isn't showing up.

    Appreciate the advice!

  • I agree.  I would go for it if it is covered.  Especially if you aren't going to have coverage when you move.  Good luck to you!  Keeping my FX!
