***healthy living check-in***

Better late than never? Sorry i totally forgot all about this Friday and it has taken me all morning to finally get to this!

For those who don't know the healthy living check-in is for anyone looking for some encouragement and accountability to meet our healthy living goals. We set goals on Monday and check in on Friday- unless I forget... :)

If you want to join, jump on in!

and since I didn't do this Friday..

bumgellica216- did you meet your goals of walking, staying hydrated and taking your vitamins?

Atleighdan- I know how hard it is to cut out dairy. I have recently started for the sake of my baby too and man dairy is in so many things! Is it helping Nolan? How is ww going? Were you able to excercise 3 days like you wanted to?

bmv1980- were you able to meet your goal of going on the elliptical and eating more fruits and vegetables?

melly918- I'm sorry you are still not feleing good. Did the prune juice, wheat bran and excercise help any?

DutchKatie- did you get to do your core muscles workout?

dillngr9- Sorry for forgeting about the check-in! How is ww going? Did you and your doggie enjoy some walks?

NBBride05- Are you feeling better this week?

tetiananina- did you manage to eat healthy while you traveled? I know that is hard!

krwact- I can imagine it must be hard to be home-bound. Did you do any DVD workouts? I like doing those from time to time, I just might dig one out...

  • My goals this week were to do my "tupler technique" ab excercises daily and jog 3x if I did the ab excercises.

Well, as far as that goes this week was a bust! I think I did my ab excercises 2x this week and jogging none.

My goals this week are the same but this week even while I am on vacation this weekend I am determined to do them!

  • Hi ladies! I did meet some of my goals. I cooked Monday through Thursday so that was good. I overrate this weekend big time while celebrating family birthdays.

    This week:
    1. Baby boot camp MWF
    2. Walk 2 times or more if weather cooperates
    3. Cook Monday through Friday
    4. Make healthy choices at memorial day parties and don't go over board

I can do the checkin on Friday and Monday. If I forget someone remind me!

I walked a lot last week! I do need to up my intensity though! I think I'm ready to start trying to actively lose weight.

  • I'm feeling better - I guess I forgot to buy wheat bran! Prune juice, I try to chug it down every night if I remember to!

We're walking more since the weather is nice.  We walked about a mile to the playground and back yesterday with the kids so that was good exercise.

I hope to do boot camp on Wednesday and throw in a couple walks during the week.

Does housework count as exercise? I'm up to my ears in crap already! :)

  • I am sorry I was totally AWOL last week!! Thanks for posting.

So far, so good with WW. I'm down 5.6 lbs. and just under my pre-pregnancy weight, which feels awesome. It's already hotter than I like here in the Ohio river valley, so walks are going to be in the evenings or the mornings. I'd like to sneak in at least one this week.

We're also going to look at a used car today, so soon I'll have some road worthy to get DD and I to the Y!

10 days in and it does seem to be helping. His congestion seems gone and some of his poop is back. To the normal yellow color, though not all the time yet and it still seems mucusy. I know it can take a while for it tone completely out of our systems, but it seems to be helping. Dairy is in a lot. I am missing my cheese sticks! But I keep telling myself it is only temporary and I can do it!

WW has been going really well. I wasn't able to weigh in today, so I am going tomorrow. I only got 2 days of exercise in, but did lots of additional walking.

I am keeping my same goals this week: keep tracking all my food, avoid dairy, and get 3 days of exercise in.

  • NBBride05- Are you feeling better this week?

Yes, I am feeling better. It was strange. I would feel great during the day, but at night I would have a sore throat and be congested.

    Goals for the week:

    1) Walk 4 times

    2) Drink less sugary drinks (apple juice/flavored iced tea)

    3) Eat more fruits and salads

I am stuck fluctuating between 3-6 pounds from my wedding weight and I want to be back there by my anniversary on June 11th. It is also frustrating that even though I am 13 pounds under my per-pregnancy weight, I am still wearing shorts from when I was heavier. I need to do ab work to see if I can lose that, but I am afraid to because it still hurts inside sometimes. My c-section was 9.5 weeks ago and I still have some bloating.
