Most of our nursery furniture came from IKEA, because we didn't have much to repurpose and I don't want to pay top dollar for more heirloom type furniture. Most of the stuff I am really happy with the aesthetics, quality and durability. We have a Sundvik crib ( a poster mentioned these were being discontinued) and a 3-drawer Hemnes dresser in a matching color. It's a tad too tall for me to be a comfortable changing area, but it's great for DH. I would suggest looking at the longer and lower 8 drawer Hemnes dresser for a nice surface for a changing pad.
We have the Trofast wood storage organizer for toys and about the get the SANSAD activity table.
We also have an 4 block Expedit bookcase for all of DD's books and a few toy bins.
We have an older Poang chair for a rocker, but it's a poor substitute, so I don't recommend it as a replacement for a glider or rocker.
ETA: The colors may look mismatched here, but I just picked the representative pics for visual examples, since there are some options for the dresser, crib and bookcase
We've got Ikea furniture as well and it holds up well. The Trofast storage unit like the pic above (stepped one) is really sturdy, my kids climb and sit on it. I agree about the Poang chairs, I like them but the bar at the front always made it uncomfortable after a while and hurt the back of my knees. I have a lounge chair I used instead.
*Hemnes 8-drawer dresser and the two night night stand in blue, because I think a child will enjoy the blue color.
*Gulliver crib in the natural/birch color
*F?RH?JA Kitchen cart in natural/birch to put the changing pad on because we can use that in the kitchen after we are done with needing a changing table.

We used the Gulliver crib and the Poang rocker. I loved the crib but I didn't love the rocker, I could never get comfortable so we rarely used it. If we have another kid, we're going to invest in a nice, plush rocker.
We currently have a Trofast storage unit and Fjellse twin bed in his room and I have no complaints. Everything has held up very well and was well worth the money.
We bought the Birkeland 3 Drawer Dresser and LOVE it!!! We don't have a big room so this fit perfect. Once together the drawers glide nice and smooth. What attracted me to this dresser was the looks but most of all the depth of the drawers, they fit a ton of stuff.
LO isn't bored yet, but we purchase the Sundvik crib, Hemnes 5drawer stand dresser and Hemnes 8drawer dresser. Love it all!! Careful though...the Sundvik crib is discontinuing and sold out in a lot of places!
My poor child...he/she isn't even born yet, and I already called he/she "bored". LOL. Mobile user whoops!
I agree with previous posters the IKEA Hemnes is a great one for changing and we bought the changing table top. It has two roomy bottom drawers and an open space above the drawers for baskets to hold your changing supplies. I bought two cute baskets to hold my diapers and wipes. We took the changing table top after she got bigger and it still works great and looks great after 3 years of continuous use and our move from our apartment to a house. Her six-drawer dresser, bookcase and toy chest are all Leksvik which sadly Ikea has discontinued that whole line. It was a lovely line and we even bought our china cabinet in the Leksvik line. I will say Hemnes is the next best thing to the Leksvik and we bought our office desk set-up in the Hemnes line.
We are using the Hennes 3 drawer dresser and the expedit book case with 8 compartments. We wanted a sundvik crib, but they are sold out and discontinued. We found a Baby Mod crib at Walmart that looked just like it.

I have the Ikea hemnes dresser and I really like it. It is a little tall, so if you are petite I would make sure it is a comfortable height for you.
Ikea has quite a few options.
Another vote for the Ikea hemnes. I have the 3 drawer one. I use the first drawer for current size and the other two for stuff LO will grow into later since I like to buy things at end of season on sale/clearance and save for later.

I purchased the changing station and expedit shelving unit:
Here's a photo of what I did with the expedit-- great storage system!
