Wondering about the more subtle signs of food allergies? Ana, obviously, but what were your LO's signs of allergies besides that?

Re: Signs of food allergies
16yo ds is allergic to some fish and shellfish -- they only did the general test, but we figured out that two of the fish he is allergic to are sardines and anchovies. We had bought a thing of OJ with omega3's I think without checking the source of those omegas.....ds drank a glass, gave me an odd look, and ran to the bathroom to throw up. (that was 5 years ago) That was the first time he reacted that we know of as we were surprised when the test results picked up those allergies.
Ds also had the allergy shiners but I think those were caused by an environmental allergy since I don't recall him having them before or after we lived in the desert southwest.
When ds was a baby, he was extra constipated and very fussy (and something vague that I can't describe) when he was on a milk based formula. Even though the dr insisted that ds was "Just colicky", I put him on a soy based formula and he became the happiest baby alive and no longer had constipation issues. Then at 12 months I added 1/2 oz of wcm to a bottle before a nap. He went down with a clear bottom and woke up with a bottom that was red, and bleeding everywhere the poop was in contact with his skin. Covered him in Desitin, and at next change bottom was clear again. Repeated a few days later and got same results. Allergy testing gave milk a 2, a 3 was needed to say he is allergic. (FWIW, ds was 11 before I was able to get him allergy tested and the only reason the dr sent him for testing was because the police had questioned him about his "black eyes" while they were investigating something a classmate overheard.)
DS2 is on same soy formula now due to the same vague thing as ds. Incidentally, ds2 was not eating/gaining weight very well while on the milk based formulas -- not even when it was being pumped into his system through the ng tube in the hospital - but as soon as we switched him to soy, he started eating 2x+ as much per feeding and he started putting on weight.
