Can Braxton Hicks hurt?

I have been experiencing some cramping in my lower abdomen...with a heavy feeling. Could this be BH? Thanks

    I don't think they should hurt - but mine are definitely uncomfortable. If you are feeling cramping with contractions, I'd call your doc.?

    they CAN hurt! A BH is a regular contraction, but the difference it, it causes no changes in the cervix.

    Sometimes they hurt me, sometimes not!

    Mine are more uncomfortable than painful.  It's like the baby balls up -or my stomach/uterus does. (hardens up)
