crib drama!

So back in February I ordered our crib from buy buy baby..it was a baby appleseed davenport crib. We had to have it special ordered because of the finish. They told us 1416 weeks standard delivery time. Just for the sake of things I called to check the status of it at the end of march and was told it was already being shipped and was in transit. I figured that it was too good to be true but they confirmed it at the store. 2 weeks go by and I didnt hear anything so I called back to check the status of the shipment and suddenly it changed from in transit to out of stock! They told me the new shipping time frame of end of April to early may. I said okay I figured it was a fluke. We also ordered an armoire that matched and I received a call a few weeks after saying that it had come in already and was at the store. They wanted 125 to have it delivered so dh and I figured we would savw the extra expense and pick up our armoire when the crib came in.
Cut to last tuesday..I called buy buy baby to check the status again and was told it was in transit and should be in within a week or a week and a half. Right on time! Or so I thought..I called this past tuesday and it was still in transit and they couldnt give me any more information than that. I had a gut feeling when I called this afternoon that something wasnt right. Sure enough..my crib was now out of stock and no longer in transit. Needless to say I threw a fit. Nobody could give me any info and the manager at buy buy baby aaid all their warehouses were closed and she couldn't contact the manufacturer. Nothing could be done until monday.
I decided to call baby appleseed and see if she was right that nobody was there. After the second ring someone picked up. I told the rep my situation and she told me she was going to call the store and try and find my order. Apparently now my crib will not be shipped until June 10th im due the 18th and they cant tell me what happened.
Because of all this buy buy baby is now delivering my crib and putting it together when it comes in and they are delivering my armoire on thursday all free of charge. At least dh and I can get half of the nursery done. ..sigh.

What a pain in the arse!!! I will tell you though, that once you get it, you'll love it. We got the Davwnport in espresso for LO and it is gorgeous. Good for you for giving them hell! That's just insane.

It's not just that store. We bought the same crib the first week of feb and after the runaround it should be in transit. We ordered from a small crib shop, so I blame the Chinese manufacturing.

They may give you some money back or a credit. I had a friend with the same issue with a glider. Not sure if it would come from BBB or the crib manufacturer.

Thats exactly why I threw a fit. They are trying to make it right by delivering my items and setting them up for free but I was hoping to have everything set up for when he arrives. I wont have the time after lol.
