We are going to be at Disney for 6 days next week because there are 19 (!! omg where is the wine?) in-laws coming down to go to the parks over Memorial Day. I booked us our own hotel that's only $50 a night and kid-friendly, but yesterday BIL called DH to ask if we wanted to share their suite with them. It's in a much nicer hotel and we'd save the $50 a night because it's a free time-share, but I have nightmares of no sleep for J (or me for that matter), early wakings and just a generally cranky baby the entire week.
The suite has a separate bedroom, but both beds are in the bedroom. There's just a pull-out couch in the other part of the suite. Andplusalso, DH's dad and his wife will be staying there, so that's 6 adults and 2 kids in the suite.
I 100% know that my answer is - HELLLLLL NO - it is worth the $50 a night for some peace and quiet, so I guess I'm just looking for some agreement that yes they are insane and no I'm not crazy for saying no.
Oy.
Re: sharing a hotel suite - WDYT?
We shared a suite with my mom. She slept on the couch and the four of us stayed in the bed room. That was fine, but yours is too much.
I agree with PP's -- it's worth it to make sure you have a happy, well-rested baby and that you don't go crazy. If it were just a night or two, I would take them up on the offer... but 6 nights is a totally different story!
So my initial reaction was to tell you to save the $50/night. We've stayed in hotel suites like that with 3-4 adults and 2 kids for 1-2 nights, not a big deal.
But with 6 adults and 2 kids for 6 nights? Not a chance. Keep the room you booked!

I'm so glad you all feel the same way! This trip started out as DH's brother and his wife and 2 kids coming to Disney, then the rest of the clan invited themselves to come along. My poor SIL didn't even know anyone else was coming until I told her.
It's sure to be filled with drama, so I'll share any crazy stories as they happen. lol
heII to the no
