So A has been struggling with some constipation issues for the last month. He is typically a once a day kinda regular dude. Well he has a new found love of cheese that started about March and so if we aren't paying attention he will sneak a couple cheese sticks along with his regular food. Some days he will skip a day but not often. Well for the last couple weeks he has had some scant blood with the more constipated poop. I told H we needed to back off the dairy a bit and see if he would eat more fruits aside from his banana fave. When we were at my moms she suggested backing off his morning toast as well and give straight juice. Well later that afternoon A came down with stomach bug/ food poisoning and vomited all evening. Figuring diarrhea was on the horizon I told H not to worry about the pear juice and we'd just have it in the arsenal when he slowed down again. Well Sunday he didn't want to eat so we let him drink whatever and he didn't poop. Monday no poop buy on Tuesdt he pooped at dc in the toilet and they told me he stopped it up, oh joy. Yesterday apparently he pooped at school but they didn't mention it as diarrhea and that morning H mentioned he saw a smear of blood and a nugget when he changed him that morning so i figured we were back at square one with dealing with his constipation again. so when we got home I gave him a sippy with pear juice and water. It was a little bit before I went and sprayed out the dc diapers and I came across his poop diaper. Holy smokes he had a LARGE diarrhea there, the kind that would have bought him a bath at home. Well needless to say the pear juice or the remnants of stomach bug hit and he had some explosive pooping about 3 times before bed and once this morning. Oy vey. He's on banana 2 and some oatmeal and I'm nervous to leave the house today.

Thanks, he's back to his normal self although we are back to waiting to see what he will poop. I may have done 1 bananas too many, lol. But disposition wise he's back to normal. I'm surprised daycare didn't mention it either, my guess since it was just the once that was why...2 or more loose stools we have to take him home, but I guess you get a free pass if its just the one.
