Hi! I was wondering if anyone here has ordered Thank You's from anywhere specific. There are so many places to look that it's getting confusing! I want to make sure that I have them ready to go so I can send them right after my shower! Thanks!
There are certainly lots of options for the Thank You cards but, honestly - they're probably going to be read once, maybe hung up on a fridge for a couple weeks and then thrown away. Don't go nuts over details. The content of the note is much more important than the artwork on the outside.

Ditto. I read the card once then toss it in the trash, and I pay next to no attention to the card itself.

everyone went back to my mom and mentioned how great it was that i sent hand written notes. They were cheap blank ones from walmart. They didn't care what it was just that it was personal.
I'm probably in a different situation than you but I'll explain what I did in case you can get an idea from it.
My showers were after LO was born so I took a pic of him, edited it at picmonkey.com to include his birth info., and then I glued them onto the front of colourful, blank notecards in which I wrote personalized messages.
I got a great deal on printing the photos off at Walmart...15 cents a print...and I purchased a box of blank notecards at Walmart for 8 dollars for 40 cards. I absolutely love how they turned out and have received some positive feedback about them.
My dad's gf, who organized one of my showers, purchased packs of thank you cards for me and had the guests address the envelopes. I know this is a shower faux pas but I can't help that she did it. I was a little frustrated that she did that too because I had wanted to make my own cards and I didn't want to waste the cards she purchased since the envelopes were all written on. So I enclosed a photo of LO with each of those thank you cards.
Surprisingly the personalized cards I made were cheaper than the basic cards my dad's gf purchased. Mine were 35 cents per card to her 50 cents per card. I thought that was pretty awesome considering mine were personalized!
I considered purchasing cards from Shutterfly or Vista Print but I could make something similar for an even better price which was a good thing since I've sent out approximately 70 cards already.

We got ours at Target also. They have little teddy bears on the front and are blank. We are almost out of them, so I told DH to stop at WalMart or Target on the way home to pick up a couple more packs.

Target is good. Sometimes Ross, michaels, tj maxx or another "discount" store has them at a low price.
My mom found me some brand new ones at the goodwill one time.
