DD doesn't get nearly the same amount of tummy time that DS got. I feel like we are constantly on the go! I'm lucky to get her on her tummy once a day. Any other STM feeling the same?
Yup. Not spending as much time on her play mat or with the other toys either. But she gets to hear me talking a lot to her brother, so maybe that balances it out some?? DS definitely didn't get as much talking as an infant.
I understand. I usually have the time but he absolutely hates it on his play mat! He immediately starts fussing and eventually crying. I try talking to him, leaving him alone, more toys, less toys, noise, no noise, doesn't matter.
When you hold him could you put him on his tummy on your chest/shoulder? Torrin does much better this way. I'm pretty sure as far as the working on the neck and arms it should have almost the same effect. He has never had a problem raising and turning his head except for right after a growth spurt for a few days.

This. My little guy tolerates a little bit of tummy time on his playmat, but whenever my husband or I hold him on our chest he is constantly lifting his head and working those muscles!
I have given my son tummy time (somewhere other than my chest) a grand total of once. I put him on my chest frequently and carry him upright all the time though, so he has got pretty good neck control for only being a month old.
I think we've only done it a handful of times. There's just too much to do around the house, and I don't feel comfortable laying her on the floor without me with DD2 running around.

My girls both hated tummy time with a passion. We were lucky to get 10 seconds without them screaming their little heads off. This baby, on the other hand... He will be perfectly happy doing it for 20 minutes.
