He started to push around backwards while on his belly at around 6.5 months. At 7 months he was up on all 4 rocking back and forth. We keeping thinking he's going to crawl any day now, but he doesn't. Starting last week, he can go from belly to sitting and sitting to belly. He's pretty good at getting what he wants by just pushing around on his belly. We have hard wood floors with area rugs. I don't know if that changes things.

Scooting on belly six months or so and crawling one week ago. Today she pushed a stroller a little bit.

Army crawling at the beginning of months, now actual crawling, but that started about a week ago. She is also pulling herself up to stand.

My daughter started army crawling about 3 weeks ago. My son has no interest at all yet.

DS was 7 months when he could scotch on his belly well. He is expert at it now and 8 months. He has shown no interest in crawling on all fours but is now interested in standing and taking assisted steps but his main method of getting around is the belly crawl.

DS started crawling 3 days ago. Only a few inches and he hasn't done it since, but he was definitely moving. DD didn't do this until much later.

Dd was moving around by rolling at 5 months, belly/army crawling at 5.5 and was also pushing up on all fours. She does a lot of planks, she must want to strengthen her core : I bet she'll be crawling by 7 months, maybe earlier.
