Doing the stair step thingie

Now I get how awesome having follies ready to pop on CD10 is. :(

I went in for my second monitoring sono today (second medicated cycle) and nothing.  The RN later called with my E2 and it was "in the gutter".  I am starting Clomid 100mg tonight for the next 5 days.  I know that a few of us lately have stair stepped.  How was everyone else's response after the second round?

    I did that, but with Femara. My biggest went from 9mm to 14mm in 4 days I think. I really hope yours start responding soon!!! GL!

    Problem: Irregular menstruation, unexplained
    Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
    First RE appt 1/10/2013
    Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (abnormal)
    Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
    2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
    Plan: Femara + Trigger + IUI in April if no real BFP before then Bloggy Blog!

    Me: 32 DH: 35  TTC#1 since March 2012
    Dx: Poor Embryo Quality, Arcuate Uterus, Poor Uterine Blood Flow, Mild Endo, 
           Protein S Deficiency, Sjorgen's Syndrome 

    IUI #1-5: BFN
    Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy: minimal endo, partial septoplasty
    IVF #1: 10R/6M/6F ~ Day 3 ET = BFN
    IVF #2: 14R/9M/5F ~ transfer canceled ~ all embryos arrested at 1-2 cell stage
    IVF #3: 9R/5M/5F ~ 1 frosty!
    IVF #4 (FET #1): BFN

    IVF #5 (DE IVF #1 with Dr. KK protocol): Currently PREGNANT!!!!!!
    Synthroid + Prednisone + Metformin + Baby Aspirin + Supplements Galore = 15+ pills a day
    Lupron + Lovenox + Delestrogen + IVIG + B/W = 2-5 pokes a day
    19R, 17M, 17F - transferred two Grade A blasts 11/16, four frosties!!!
    Beta #1 11/24 (13dpo/8dp5dt) = 367 ~ Beta #2 11/26 (15dpo/10dp5dt) = 709
    Beta #3 11/29 (18dpo/13dp5dt) = 1,997 ~ Beta #4 12/1 (20dpo/15dp5dt) = 3,403

    I did that my first round of clomid back in September.  I had nothing with 50mg, so they upped it to 100 that cycle.  I took it for 5 days, went back 4 days after the last dose, and had one 19mm (i think) follicle.  It was obviously a BFN, but I did produce a follicle.  Good luck.

    I did really well when I stair stepped with 50 and then 100.  When I did it with 100 and 150 it destroyed my lining.  But I do think it generally works really well for many women.

       Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
    Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!
    Cycle 14: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP! EDD 9/16/14~ Rowan Elizabeth born sleeping at 17w4d on 4/12/14 due to IC.

    I did stair step on my first medicated cycle.  I took 100mg of clomid on days 5-9 with no response at all.  My RE then had me do a second round of 150mg of clomid starting on day 10.   In the end I had two follicles but it still ended with a BFN.   Best of luck to you. 
    TTC since Jan. 2012. DX =low AMH level. 1st SA=within normal range. SA for 1st IUI = low count Jan. 2013: 150 mg clomid + IUI = BFN
