3rd Trimester

Spoke too soon...hello, bowling ball!

So my LO dropped 2 weeks ago, but I didn't feel like I had that "bowling ball" between my legs...until today.  I went for a walk earlier and wow....okay, now I know exactly how this feels.  It really feels like LO is about to fall out as I'm walking.  Not only that, but it feels like she's grinding her head against my pelvis.  It's excruciating!

I'm 0 cm dilated, but 90% effaced.  LO is engaged at 0 station - been this way for over a week now.  Has anybody experienced an uptick in pelvic pressure/lightning crotch and then had some sort of progression at their following internal?  I hope to see some progress at my 38w internal - this pain better not be for nothing!

  • I'm so jealous!! My LO hasn't dropped yet, and my OB won't do an internal until 39 weeks. So, I don't have any input for you, but GL due date buddy!

  • I am not there yet, I am still closed and thick as of yesterdays appt. My hips do hurt when I walk now....this started this week...it is the worst if I have been sitting for a while. He still seems to be sitting relatively high...he has dropped a little bc my boobs are no longer resting on top of my belly (so depressing).....GOOD LUCK. Looks like we are due around the same time.
  • Thank you, Ladies!  I'm glad to hear that someone out there has seen progress after a painful week.  Fingers crossed that I see some progress, too!  Good luck to you all as well!

Starfish!  How are you feeling these days?  I noticed a few days ago that you posted about a contraction counter for your Blackberry - did you get that to work?
