Cloth Diapering

Washing with Clothes?

First wash of CDs coming up today. Can we add poopy clothes to the entire washing routine? We have NB pockets and AIOs mainly Lil joeys currently. We had a blowout so could add onesie and changing pad cover if ok but I'm not sure. TIA for advice. A little sleepdeprived so apologies if this was recently asked.

I would only worry about the hot water messing up the clothes, since usually baby clothes aren't washed in water that hot.

  • We do this, and it's nbd. If I had a new red outfit though, I would probably wash it with like colors so it doesn't bleed.

  • Good call on heat and bleeding. Will be careful about both. For former, can always wash the clothing in the same rinse and then wait to clean for a cold or warm load.

  • I always put clothes that have pee or poop on them in the diaper laundry and pad cover etc. I've had no problems.
