Places to NOT take your toddler

I would highly suggest not taking your child to Verizon when you go to switch cell phone providers and are going to be there for around an hour. DS happily ate a little snack and let me hold him for the first 15 mins, then he wanted to walk/run around the store but of course screamed whenever I tried to make him hold my hand. This resulted in me having to hold him against his will for roughly 30 mins (he weighs 25lbs and my arms were dyyyyying) while he tried to flail out of my arms and generally caused a scene. Thankfully the associate who was helping me was very nice and understanding, but I'm sure he was happy to see us leave lol. I swear on my life I will NEVER do that again as long as I live. Lesson learned.

Have you taken your LO somewhere and regretted it? I also took him to tour a local gym and discuss membership a month or so ago and that was another mistake.

    That sounds nightmarish! I have not had this experience yet but now that DS is walking, I'm absolutely dreading the battle to get out of his stroller when we're out running errands. Sitting still is not his strong suit! Thanks for the heads up!!

    I had to take both my girls to my annual well woman visit at the obgyn a couple months ago. It was definitely not ideal. It worked out ok because my older one was fighting off a virus and just really tired, so they both sat in the double stroller and ate their snacks.Thankfully.

    My cousin is getting married tomorrow and I am so not looking forward to trying to keep both boys still and quiet for the ceremony at their usual naptime.  They will be so cranky.  The last wedding we were to, baby brother was trying to steal my camera the whole time so I could not get one non-blurry picture and big brother fell asleep across the pew (in the seats that were saved for hubby and MIL once they walked down the aisle, it was SIL's wedding.)  So I had to try to slide him over and sit him up without him making a scene while holding baby brother so they had a place to sit when they came in the processional.  At least he was quiet.

    The wedding I went to when I was pregnant with little brother and big brother was about 18 months old, he was in the stage little brother is in now, "I've mastered walking and want nothing to do with being held and I will wiggle and squeal until you put me down", so I missed the entire ceremony because he was restless by the time the mothers were seated.  I remember leaving that reception crying because I was so worn out being newly pregnant and trying to keep up with him and keep him from tripping someone with a big mug of beer or ripping the bride's veil off the head table.  There was no way he was staying in a high chair the whole time!  It is not as easy as leave them home with a sitter, because it's a family wedding, all of my sitters will be there and the kids are expected to be there too as family.  It's gonna be a long day!  Thank goodness at least big brother is old enough now that he will sit at a table and color or he actually was on the dance floor most of SIL's reception after he had that long nap at the ceremony!

    There are places it is harder to take DD but I don't have a choice so just deal. DH isn't home when places I need to go are open and no family/friends near by.

    Bank is a toughy if I have to do more than deposit...which I do at the drive up. US Cellular is tough as it always takes them forever to do anything.

    The chiropractor. DS is VERY protective of me, and when the chiro started doing his thing, DS FLIPPED OUT! Even with toys, snacks, the receptionist, nothing helped.
