So today I finally went out to have my first sandwich at Jersey Mikes Subs . I chose this place because they have a grill and I thought they could heat up my meat . So I went in and ordered a turkey sandwich and asked for the meat to be heated up on the grill . He said I'm not allowed but if I wanted the turkey Ruben I he can do that !! WTF!!!! The only difference is the sourcrout !!!!!! HELLO that makes no sence . He did end up doing it but he was mad and only did it because his general manager wasn't there . Next time maybe ill just order the Turkey Ruben hold the sourcrout !!! REALLY !!!

They probably aren't supposed to grill the meat directly on the grill. I think the turkey reuben without the sauerkraut would have made the most sense.

This sandwich thing is nuts. If they can't heat up your meat either eat it cold (gasp!) or leave and don't go back! I get that this post is just a vent and that is fine - but so many people are getting so mad about sandwiches. Eat your lettuce warm or pick it off and throw it away!

Some girl a few weeks back went on some rant because JJ's refused to put lettuce on the side of her sandwich so she could heat it up at home, so we mocked her epic hissy fit over it, it was a HUGE thread, and she DD'd.

To the PP asking about the JJ's history here. Someone got mad about lettuce on their sandwich, wrote a letter, and got flamed. I'm not sure if she ever posted again. It was interesting, not enough to really laugh out loud about it though. We'll develop better inside jokes here with time.

ahh, thank you both for explaining! But I don't get it, she wanted the lettuce on the side so she could heat up the MEAT when she got home?? or to heat up the lettuce? (cuz weird, who does that?) LOL I seriously can't believe someone would write a letter to corporate about something that ridiculous. If you're asking for something unusual you gotta know it's kinda your fault, not theirs. And if you feel strongly about the lunch meat thing, don't eat the sandwiches!! It's not hard!
