Wait between kids?

Is there a certain amount of time they recommend waiting before getting pregnant again?

Im not planning on getting knocked up any time soon, but we weren't planning on being super careful, either. I am only 4 weeks PP, and haven't been cleared for sex, just FYI. ;]

Edit: My question is in regards to the section healing properly and not causing issues. Thanks!

My OB said it's best to wait at least a year.

From what I know, most Dr.s like for you to wait a year. I waited 8. hahaha.

My OB recommends 18 months in between pregnancies.

My Dr said at the very least 6 months but a year would be better. I got pregnant after 8.5 months.

Mine said to wait 6 months

ETA: Mine said to wait 6 months because I'm not a candidate for a VBAC. If you are wanting to try a VBAC, it's better to wait a year.

If I get pg again I plan to wait at least 12 months. There was a little more than 2/5 years between my last c/s and getting pg this time around.

My doctor recommends at least a year. There was about 3 years between each of mine. At this point we aren't sure if we want more kids but we'll see.

My MW told me if I wanted a VBAC to have 18 months between deliveries.

My doctor told me 18 months between births is their guideline. But she recommends 18 months between birth and next pregnancy. She told me giving that time allows for the mom heal very well, her body is stronger and tends to have an easier pregnancy.

My OB recommended at least a year before trying again. Unfortunately, DD #2 was 6 months when I got my BFP. I was a little worried about not having the time to heal properly, but my OB said it's not the end of the world. She just made me take extra calcium along with my prenatals.

My OB said I only have to wait 6 months to get pregnant again, and that's with trying to do a VBAC. I laughed because there's no way I'd want to ge knocked up again that quick. I think we'll start TTC at 9 months.

I don't remember exactly what my doctor said but I think it was a year. We got pregnant when DS was 9 months. I do remember her saying it is fine as long I wanted a RCS and not try for a VBAC.

My doctor never gave a specific timeframe to wait but now that i have had three c-sections back to back, had my tubes tide, and had my doctor explain how tough my uterus was with all the scar tissue, I would have waited as long as possible.My son was five months when I became pregnant with my daughter, and my daughter was a year when I became pregnant with my last one, who is now six days old. The recovery is so much harder. I didn't give my body anytime to heal.

I was told 2 years between pregnancies(conception, not delivery) if I want to try to v-bac. I've also seen that it's best to wait a year for your general health and your next baby's health as well.
