K'Tan vs. Moby

Hello ladies -

I am looking into getting a carrier for my LO. I have a moby wrap that I used for DS however, I really didn't like it. It was hot, and bulky (and he was born in September). I am hestitant to use it again, with a Summer baby.

I have looked into the Ergo and Baby B'Jorn, however I don't want to spend a lot on a carrier incase LO is like DS. DS hated the moby after a couple months, and would scream histarically if I placed him in it. For that reason, I would like to not spend as much incase we don't end up using it.

The K'tan seems affordable, and convienient but I was curious how it compared to the Moby in regards to use (convienience), comfort and accesibility. I would really like something that won't take me a full 5 minutes to get on and organized while DS is waiting around.

I also had a Moby with my first. Not a favorite. I looooove my K'tan. DD is soo comfortable in it and it is sooo easy to use. Same idea of Moby without the hassle. Takes about minute to get baby in and out. Super easy to use while chasing a toddler also.

I don't have any experience with the Moby, but I used the K'tan with DS and loved it. It is extremely easy to put on and you can quickly get the baby in and out. It fits very snug and I never felt like DS was going to fall out. It did get a little warm at times (I had DS in August), but not too bad.

I have the K'Tan but am scared of the Moby. I think both are very different from the Ergo which I loved with DD. I see both the K'Tan and Moby as newborn carriers. I was still using the Ergo with my 2 year old until I got my BFP. Even if your son didn't like the Moby at that age, I bet he would have loved the Ergo. It is so comfy for the kid and the right amount of structure.

K'tan now has a mesh version that is supposed to let more air in and be cooler for you and baby. I don't have one personally, but it might be worth looking into.
