DH and I really like Marley. So far we've gotten good feedback on it from friends/family. But to be honest does it make you think of a dog??

Honestly, my first thought is Bob Marley.
ETA: the name we have picked happens to be a super hero's real name. Wasn't planning on sharing the name but in DH's excitement he told everyone.

My general thoughts, if negative feedback doesn't impact how much you love it, then go for it. If negative feedback makes you doubt yourself then maybe it isn't "the" name.
This is also why I don't ask for opinions about my name choices, at least from people that are in my actual circle. I don't want them to feel awkward when I don't take their advice.
Tbh, you and YH need to decide on a name together that you love. When you are confident in your name choice you won't care what anyone else thinks.
I have had a lot of unwanted feedback about this baby's name. I love it, DH lives it, and that's all that matters. Don't put your choice in other people's hands.
