Landon Michael has arrived

A little late but it's been a busy week. I woke up on the 27th at 215 to my water breaking( the day after my due date). My husband thought I was joking. I called my Dr right away and she asked if I felt the baby move. It had only been ten min since I woke up and with the distraction of  everything I couldn't recall if he did or didn't. My Dr advised me to come to the hospital right away if I didn't feel him move. As soon as I got off the phone I felt him move. I took a shower, ate a meal from McDonalds (since it was the only place open), and headed to the hospital. Nurse Kristy checked me upon my arrival. She confirmed my water had broken and I was having contractions 5 min apart (I didn't even realize I was having them) but unfortunately I wasn't even 1cm dilated. They started me on pitocin right away and gradually had me taking the highest dosage. I always planned to get an epidural unless by some miracle I wasn't in too much pain. That miracle never happened. I felt bad getting one bc I was not dilating but the contractions were still really intense. The dr mentioned the possibility of a C- Section at 2 pm I wasn't quite 2 cm. She said if I didn't make it to 3 by 4 pm I would be having a C Section. 4 pm came and still only 2. I was surprised how quickly everything went after that. Landon Michael was born via C-Section April 27 at 5 pm on the dot weighing 7lbs 7oz. Much to my relief he cried right away. DH and I are completely in love with the little guy. Not sure how to upload pics to here but I will add some to my profile. Smile
