Pregnant after a Loss

maternity jeans - recommend yours

i tried a pair on at motherhood & didn't like them.  probably need to try again.  remember tights you wore as a little girl how you could never quite get them high enough to be comfortable & it felt like the crotch hung too low?  yah, that's what they felt like.

ON only has maternity jeans online & i'm not sure how to order them. size, style etc.  i suppose i'll try liz lange at target.

where did u get yours?  did u buy online?  how did u figure out a size?

thanks!

Re: maternity jeans - recommend yours

  • I got mine at Gordman's and their Motherhood Maternity and they suck! They have the full panel and like you it feels like the crotch is too low and maybe because I don't have a real belly yet the fall down.

  • Mine are from JCPenney.  I actually have 3 pairs, and they are only like $25 or so.

  • I love the Gap jeans, but they are a little more pricey than MM, but not bad.
  • Last time around I picked up a really cute pair from the gap.  If you sign up for their emails, they have 20% off and friends and family and stuff like that all the time.
  • I wear ON maternity jeans and I love them.  I ordered them online, so I didn't try them on until I got them.  I just ordered my pre-pg size and they turned out to be perfect.
  • I agree with the Gap jeans... and you can order online and return/exchange for free if they're not the right size.  I have one pair with an adjustable waist (like toddler pants) and one with the lower belly panel (the kind taht is like 3 inches wide).  Love them both and feel like I'm wearing regular, cute jeans:)
  • I saw some cheap maternity jeans at Walmart - $18 and they looked really cute.
  • ON jeans were okay early on, but the panel doesn't really go over my belly all the way now so they are constantly slipping down.  I like the Gap jeans especially since they are longer.  I'm pretty tall, so most jeans and pants look a little short on me.  But I LOVE my Liz Lange jeans from Target.  The sizes ran a little small on me, but I think that's because I have normal size thighs not stick thighs.  I usually wear a size 4, but I had to get a 6 early on.  Now, I'm wearing a size 8 but I could have gotten a 10 for more room.  They never slip down and the panel stays put.  And I've gotten quite a few compliments on them.

  • My fav jeans I got were at Burlinton Coat factory... I dont know if you have one close by.  They fit great and they were quite inexpensive as well.
  • Some Old Navy stores have maternity in stock. If you go to their website and do the store locator, you can click to only show stores with maternity. I did that and there are 2 stores in my area that carry it.
  • I bought a few pairs of liz lange from target, come cute corduroy pants and some jeans and absolutely love them.
  • My favorite jeans have actually been from the Gap. I have a pair of semi-demi panel jeans that I really like. They only have the elastic in the front so they stay up really well. I've tried ON jeans and did not like them at all. I am by no means a tall person, but they always seem so short. I also have a pair of Sevens and a pair Citizens of Humanity jeans that I really like, but they are a bit more spendy.
  • I've been so disappointed with ON pants its not even funny! I ordered a 2 the other day that had the elastic crap you could adjust...they looked like a size 10....than I order a size small the other day and while the elastic at my belly fit....(they were made to looke like real jeans)...the stupid waist look like another size 10....really weird.

Anyway...I found some great deals at consignment shops and have made out really well at some. I dunno if you have a Wears Like New. I may try Good Will because I'm so frustrated with MH as well because the Smalls are too big in places.
